About us

Royal York Baptist Church is an evangelical Church and belongs to a group of churches called "The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada." Within this association there are over 500 churches each holding to the same basic beliefs and practices. We believe God has call us to love, care and serve the nations in our community and beyond practically, socially and spiritually bringing hope and healing through the life changing message of our Lord Jesus Christ. To that end we are committed to carrying out what is called the "Great Commandment" and "The Great Commission."

The Great Commandment

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

                This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself."                                                                                                                                                     Matthew 22: 37 - 28, NIV

The Great Commission

"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go

and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son

and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Royal Priesthood of Believers

We, at Royal York Baptist Church see ourselves as a God's special family. Scripture says this about evey follower of Christ:

 "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,

that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;"
